Youth Event
Earth Day Celebration at the Columbia Heights Mall. Thanks to the ideas of three Youth Carbon Busters: Alexander Gómez, Carlos Montufar and Moisés Alvarenga from the Latin American Youth Center. Cool Capital Challenge held an event at the Columbia Heights Mall to celebrate Earth Day. There were fun demonstrations from 3 to 5pm on Saturday 18th, 2009 at the entrance of the Mall.

Cool Capital Challenge is the DC region's carbon-lowering campaign based on energy efficiency that strongly believes that immediate and collective action is the key to combat the climate crisis.

We want YOUTH to shape and own the Cool Capital Challenge.
Youth creativity and leadership can teach the community, schools and organizations how to save energy, money and the environment now!

This event is the beginning of the Cool Youth Movement
Join us! Bring your ideas to promote the Challenge, make them happen!
